Welcome in the Rapides-Deschênes Elementary School Arboretum!
We are at 113, Vanier Road in Gatineau (Quebec, Canada).
The Commission scolaire des Portages-de l'Outaouais (CSPO) owns the schoolyard and its infrastructures, including trees. Those were planted, and are maintained by volunteer parents and other community members. School yard access is restricted on school days, but is freely opened on evenings, weekends and in summertime.
There are more than 65 trees in the schoolyard, belonging to 23 botanical species. You can see a map and a list of trees under "Nos arbres". You may also find information on maintenance under "Entretien".
Although most of the information on this site is in French, we warmly welcome visitors and volunteers who speak other languages. We are all tree lovers!
